Mortgage break for Mature student

Hi Guys

Need your help - would anyone know if a mortgage company would give you a break for 4 years to go back and study f/t to be a teacher or allow you to go to interest only?

Thanks

    No. They wouldn't.
  • Is there anything they would do?

I think the best you would achieve is to extend your mortgage term up to the maximum.

Subject to circumstances, I think it will be hard work achieving interest only unless in severe financial hardship. Even then you would not get years...

Assuming you have a house already, why not obtain consent to let and rent it out whilst you rent somewhere smaller/cheaper/nearer to study venue?

Guessing selling up is not an option in the current climate?
