Hello, hope everyone's day has been ok. Well done LW and hope things improve.

Thursday - Bathroom, cloakroom, stairs and hallway
Clean bath, shower, toilet - done
Clean the sink including behind the pedestal - done
    Wipe splashback - done
Hoover and mop floors - bathroom done, landing & stairs brushed
Clean pet bedding - all four washed and dry, still in the garden though
Delete or reply to some emails - already got paperwork up to date
Sort understairs/coat cupboard - its here on the list but I don't think it will happen. There are two and both are cupboards of doom.

I am thinking that the cupboards of doom may be a weekend job as I'm definitely on my own for one day, maybe both of them.

About to tease the brain again with a puzzle. I will wait for it to cool down before walking the dogs, watering the garden and spending 10 mins in the gym.
Spend less now, work less later.

anyhoo Pleased to hear Mr Wolf is being seen to and Lamewolf WTG!You_Rock_Emoticon.gif

So what's been happening in Valliland?

    w-e-e-ll

I have emptied another wall unit - three, matching wall units in DR which sit side-by-side and have stuff in

one is books, DVDs and my Cds
one is glass display and, in the cupboard, our board games
one is a drinks cabinet, drawers and a shelf (one drawer is the man drawer)
today I tok all the CDs etc out of that cabinet, cleaned cabinet, moved into LR with the help of the kids and reloaded with cds etc. All the videos were in there. Apart from the special ones (a few home vids) they've all been taken to the CS along with all the cassettes - the ones I bought. FOUR CARRIER BAGS

I've also been to collect pull for bathroom window blind. In a stroke of genius I took th eold one with me - good job as they sent the wrong one so that's been re-ordered

Rung the WM man - he will take away my old one (I know Kazwookie - but it will be GONE and Boots would charge £9.99 to take it) and he says chances are my motherboard has gone, parts too dear and recommends Bosch - any thoughts?

Another wall stripped of top layer of wallpaper

Oh and I swilled out my green bin - it was VERY whiffy!

Valli - my mum has a Bosch and has had it for 25 years+!

I have a Miele - it is so much lighter than the Hotpoint it replaced ( Ithought the people who removed it were going to get hernias...)

Miele - 8 years old and has never seen a repair man! (Rushes off to touch wood!)

anyway I will be back properly tomorrow - I'm just dropping in to say hi to everyone - we are back from th Olympics and have had a fab time!:j:j

LW - sending as many healing vibes/spoons as I can lay my hands on - and a huge well done for getting out to get the prescription for Mr LW!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

    Evening all

GWS vibes to Mr LW, roundtuit, Mrs B and anyone else in need. You are amazing, LW, and I bet that Mr LW is massively proud of you.

I've forgotten most of what I've read, so apologies if I've overlooked someone.

Didn't get a chance to post this morning, so here's what I've managed so far (not a lot, really :o):
    S&S kitchen
3 loads of laundry (last one still to go out)
folded dry stuff and put away
DH sorted his last wardrobe section
made brunch (for me and DS2)
made tea (for all of us)
burnt one large shopping bag full of paperwork in the metal bin type incinerator in the garden

Also went out with DH and DS2 to local garden centre for a walk around and coffee/ice cream. DH can't just go for a walk, which would save lots of money. :(

Not much point in updating the list, but here goes:
Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Clear those hotspots WIP
Hoover and mop floors - done all visible floor in DR
    Shine your sinks
    Wipe the sides
    Clean WM/DW filters
    Deweb those breeding spiders
    Fuel comparisons
Tuesday - Living Room, study, computer desk
    Hoover the floors
    Wipe the mantle
HH tidying and wiping desk/urgent paperwork
Wipe the light shades and bulbs - carefully
    wipe the sofas
    15 minutes decluttering/putting things away
Wipe doors and handles, remember the top edge
Wednesday - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Hoover the floor
    Dust the skirting boards
Change the bed will do when back from holiday next Sat
    Hoover the matress
    Test smoke alarms
    Clear and wipe bedside tables
Buy/label stuff for 'back to school'
15 minutes in the garden/outside pottering
Thursday - Bathroom, cloakroom, stairs and hallway
Clean the sink including behind the pedestal
    Wipe splashback
    Clean bath, shower, toilet
    Hoover and mop floors
    Sort understairs/coat cupboard
    Clean a pair of shoes
Delete or reply to some emails

Make a list of everything I need to remember before we go away at the weekend.
Contact sky and/or BT re changing broadband and phone supplier
    research B&C insurance
    Health insurance claim
Car insurance - claim back cancellation fee

    Next:
burn the rest of the paperwork to make space in the kitchen
    sort through DS2's wardrobe
wipe over two coats so they can go in the collection bag
dry laundry in and last load out

Valli - originally I inherited mum's machine (AEG, I think), which I couldn't afford to replace as the brand was just too expensive. Since then I've had Bosch and I'm very happy with them. I've had mine from a place in Rotherham, as they have access to slight seconds, making better brands a bit more affordable.

I know... I said i was quitting I didnt however. I read a couple of chapters of my book but the garden was staring at me so I got up and weeded it and generally tidied it. When OH came home from work he swept up and did the heavy bits. Good job done its looking good. Brought the washing in and made the beds up straight away, they weren't runkled so didn't need ironing! Just stuck the dinner on as I had lost all track of time so its tuna pasta for quickness, bath then bed I'm shattered!

GWS wishes to all our poorlies and a well done pat on the back to LW and a huge big hug xx
    I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged
  • Just a quick post to say that I've hardly stopped flying or working today, but Lamewolf, I think, has beat us all, and gets that Gold medal, whether she wants it or not!

I believe what LF accomplished shows us the power of love - well done LW - and here's to a speedy recovery to your DH.

Warm vibes and warm wishes to everyone feeling under par, R x.:)
