Haha, I remember when I used to work in internal DCA (ironic eh? worked in collections for 2 years and am now defaulted and in a mess!) I called a customer who had only had the card for a couple of months. Only to be told he had emmigrated to New Zealand weeks previously.

When I pulled his account details what was the one and only transaction on his credit card?

A flight (and from the price I assume first class) to New Zealand..!

Why can't you pay back from wherever you are? I am in Australia, mainly so I can get a better job and pay off my debts which I am now able to do much quicker than I ever could in the UK.

well according to his same thread on CAG he 'plans' to pay back from January when his job in Canada starts.

Best thing to do is pay the PDL's off with the redundency money, work while in Australia then move to Canada.
