EDIT: The full list is in a post below - but it's now out of date-

Whenever I am in Tesco I see the £3 dvds and can't buy them unless I have checked online if I can get them cheaper and how good the film is. Trouble is I can't remember more than 2 or 3 in my head to check at home, and that's assuming I remember any!

It's so annoying to see the dvd charts on display and not be able to take a copy home with me. So does anyone know where the chart is available online?

I have not got a camera to photograph the chart.

    Not even on your phone??

You could look at the from £3 page and change the sort to low-high price.

    I have watched

    The tourist http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1243957
And it was good, I give it about 7/10, I kept thinking that Angelina Jolie looked and sounded like Joanna Lumley....LOL.
But it's a funny film, even more so, if you understand a little Spanish & Italian. Lots of action and comedy lines from JDepp, nice scenery, nice boats, FUN.
Crazy gangster/cop and mistaken identity..."I'm an American!" :)

    Hanna http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0993842
Not on the list above but it is now in the £3 chart...this one I give 8/10 good action, good music, good artistic elements which set it aside from the crowd, it's not 'just a film' its a work of art aswell. Good story. One or two silly moments but remember "it's only a film" it's supposed to be fictional.
A girl is raised by her father to be an assassin -to protect herself when she has to enter the real world.

    Everything Must Go http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1531663
It's good, it is also a £3 dvd in Asda, I'll give it 6.5/10, it's a 'slice of life' film where we spend 5 days in the life of Nick H, he just lost his job, and his wife has kicked him out, all his stuff is on the front lawn so he decides to live on the lawn. It may be too slow for some viewers.

    Up in the Air
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1193138
Good film 7/10, Clooney holds it all together, great story, A travelling office exec (Clooney) gets a wake up call, his boss brings in new technology for the way the job is done, he also has to re-evaluate his life and relationships.

    127 hours http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1542344
Hey you might like it, but I thought 5/10, not my idea of a good film, being with one character -who is not very interesting- in a cave for 60 mins...You're better off with Touching the Void
  • Er, what a weird thread! Started by you, only really answered by you and reviews which are a bit vague and only really relevant and interesting to.......you!

    RANDOM!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • I'd give The Tourist 10 out of 10, and Depp one.

    I disagree.

There is an internet phenomenom called "denvercoder9" (google it), it's basically about people who have a question, they put the question into google and that takes them to threads started by or contributed to by people before them who had the same question, but those people did not return to those threads to give the answers that they found....

On the motoring forum here on MSE we call it "thread stumping" where an OP does not return with an update or final outcome. As a result of being a denvercoder9ee myself many times, I have decided wherever possible to always return to my threads with the answers if I find them.

In this case the answer is the £3 chart list for dvd at Tesco at the time of writing the thread. People who come after me will find this thread and see my list. Look here
    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=tesco+%C2%A33+dvd+chart
Do you see the MSE search result?

These people will be like me, film buffs who don't want to spend too much. And they will be interested in my reviews, and they can use my links to go to IMDb to get more reviews for that film to decide if they will buy that dvd.

I would hope that others who have seen other titles in the list will also review it and link to the imdb page.

The only thing I am uncertain of is what MSE board this thread would be best placed on.
  • Thanks for all the info. Some good films in here for £3. Didn't think much of the tourist!
