    Hi all,

just thought I would add my experience here as its also with Halifax.

I had had a declined application from RBS for a mortgage and went to speak to an advisor. We had already got an AIP with Halifax before RBS application. Mortgage application went through and handed the MA copies of my last 3 SA302s, Partners latest payslip with P60 and proof of ID for us both to send to Halifax.

Was instructed to pay for valuation but was obviously concerned that after paying £495 (home buyers survey) that the application could still be rejected.

Spoke to a Halifax advisor today who seems to think its 99% certain to go through.
  • Just as a follow up the formal mortgage offer came through today following a call with the advisor in branch

Still a little, albeit pleasantly, surprised at the lack of information required

    Thanks all
