Help! Can't use bought tickets??

Hi can anyone advise please?

I just bought 2 football ( bronze match) for my son to see in Cardiff next friday. He was SO excited!

Trouble is he's just realised he can't get time off work to go, but on the resale website it states you need to resell more than 7 days before the event- and of course it's 6 days away. I can't give them to my family as it also says that the person collecting the tickets needs to be the account holder ( what happes for people who have been boughta ticket as a gift?) and we live in Surrey, so i can't go and get the tickets with my debit card.

What can we do please?!

You can pick up tickets from any of the box offices at any venue, can you get to one of the London venues easily? Then you could give them to others.

I've never had my ticket checked to make sure it's me. Also I met the other 2 people who had football tickets I bought for inside the venue. Just imagine how long it'd take for them to check IDs of every single person as well as security!

Or if you give them to family just give em a card with your name on as proof just in case.

For the footie, you just need to show the card that they were bought with ... could you give them to a family member?

    Thanks Sharon :)

If I could get the tickets that'd be fine- but it says on the site that the card holder has to collect with photo ID.. and although I could go to London to get them I'd have to take my 6 year old with me, pay for travelcards and I've been in hospital so not really up to that :(

It's a long way to go and a £54 train fare to Cardiff if they turn him away. I'm going to try and phone them tomorrow, see what they say. Those print your own tickets would have been the perfect option if it had been offered for this event!

My husband wasn't able to pick my our football tickets, despite his card being used to pay for them, as the original London 2012 ticket account was in my name. I had to go back another day with my photo id to collect the tickets. They didn't check the Visa card though, just my ID.
