I know you cant re-enter the park on one ticket but if you have tickets for a morning session and evening session on the same day can you leave the park after the first and come back later? Anyone know?

You can if you have tickets for two events. It would be quite a faff though and there's plenty to do inside the park. I wouldn't do it just to save a few quid on lunch...0 -
Enough to fill nearly 7 hours? 1st event finishes at noon, next not till ten to seven in the evening.0

Yes. I only had three hours spare and would love to have spent more time. There are big screens up so you can watch the action, it's a *huge* place - the signs saying 'Copperbox 20 minutes walk away' are perfectly accurate. there are lovely walks by the river - for example the Queen's Jubilee barge is moored there. You'll probably have to queue to get into the large shop (the queue moves fast) and you could easily spend half an hour in there. We met people who spend the whole day with no tickets for an event and didn't regret it at all. There are odd little performances going on and a really really great atmosphere. Plus, both me and my friend bumped into people we know!0 -
If you are planning to leave and re-enter then make sure only your morning tickets are scanned on entry to the park, if your evening ones get scanned you won't be able to re-enter!
It is not such a problem leaving and re-entering so long as you have the tickets to do so. There is indeed plenty to do in the park and you could easily spend the whole day there, however you may prefer to have lunch at Westfield as there is more choice and potentially better prices, depending on what you want to eat.
You will need to allow sufficient time to go through security - this is generally very efficient and quick but do keep in mind that if you are going to one of the more popular events or there are a lot of events happening at the same time, then there will be a lot of people trying to enter at the same time.0 -

I've done this, re-entering the Olympic Park. I wanted to have lunch in the Westfield Shopping Centre because then I'm guaranteed to have a seat and shelter when I'm eating.;)
If you don't want a hot meal, there are plenty of sandwiches and snacks to chose from. There's a Greggs, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose supermarket where you can buy a cold drink and food.;)
There are also comfy cushioned seats in Westfield Shopping centre and only wooden benches in the Olympic Park.;)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the 'I wanna' and 'In my home' and Health & Beauty'' boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
