Tesco Direct goods arrived damaged

So, bought a few things from Tesco, including a set of 4 red wine glasses and an ironing board.
Unfortunately, one of the glasses was split in half and the ironing board was knackered, has a bent leg.
When I take these back do you think I should be entitled to any freebies or vouchers or something like that? I'm obviously only taking the one wine glass back so I reckon at the least I should get another set of 4.

this is a wind up right? if its a set of four they will normally expect you to return all of the pack.
why should you get anything else in compensation?'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -
why should I return the whole pack? I've paid for them, and why should I get compensation, how about for the inconvenience?0
-
You don't have to send them back - just use the 3 other glasses.
Phone or email them and they will tell you what you have to do to get replacements or a refund- they might arrange to collect them.
Sorry if I sound negative but this compensation climate is plain silly.0 -
if you dont want the inconvinenc of taking them back they might collect them for you if you ring and ask? I dont think your 'entitled' to anything no.0

I would give Tesco a call they will arrange for replacements to be sent out to you - they may collect the damaged ones they may not.
Its just bad luck they were damaged I dont think you are entitled to any compensation and I think that keeping the three glasses and returning one is a joke - you bought four so you need to return four not just the broken one. If I worked for Tesco and you returned just the broken one I would just give you one glass well packaged of course!0 -
op would need to contact Tesco Direct 0845 600 4411 - speak to 'After Sales' about the damaged items, they will log the details, and give info on the procedure to follow e.g. return them to the Direct desk in-store, or await collection.
All they need to do, is fufill the terms of the contract - supply goods of merchantable quality.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Deffo worth £100 compo good luck op0

Well, I took the damaged one back and got a new pack of four, so 7 wine glasses was the result. If you don't try, you don't get and
tbqh it was the very least we should have expected considering the inconvenience.0
