"I know a few of you have had job interviews later so can anyone tell me if a company is allowed to do this. My dad had a job interview on Monday and they called him back for a medical with ot yesterday as he has a plate in his arm and they wanted to check it would affect his ability to do the job, it said there was no problem and wouldn't have an affect, had a call yesterday afternoon to say he'd got the job but needs to start this monday. He went straight to his employers and handed in his notice but the new job have just phoned and said the managers don't think he'll be able to do the job and are retracting the offer. He's now got no job as his employers are saying you've already handed your notice in."
He had a phone call on monday asking him to go for a job interview yesterday so he came home with me for the interview and had a call within 30 minutes of it ending to say he has the job and starts next weekmymerrywidow wrote: »i got home minus another toeat lunchtime.all went well. i had a doze this afternoon, only to be woken by the cat pouncing on my banagaes  i think he thought they were a mouse or something.
