I know you lovely lot are full of knowledge :-) and just wondered if anyone has been to legoland windsor, we are thinking of going this weekend, but will need somewhere to stay for 1 night, 2 adults and 2 children under 8 - does anyone have any ideas please :-) xx

We stayed at the Hilton Newbury Centre hotel, it is 20ish miles away from Legoland so certainly not the closest hotel but it was lovely. At the time I got a deal through Travelzoo. I think kids stay and eat for free. HTH

There is a lovely (but no doubt very expensive) new hotel at Legoland now and guests get early entry to the park.

There's a Marriott hotel about 15 minutes away in Slough, and Travelodge and Premier Inns about locally too.

Legoland is about 15-25 mins from Slough (depending on which side you stay), about 10 mins from Windsor (though the Travelodge there is very pricey!), and about 15 mins from Bracknell, which should be cheaper ;)

ETA: The traffic going to and from the park is also much heavier in the Windsor/Slough direction, but much easier towards Bracknell/Ascot

I would ring them up and explaint he situation - does it say which petrol station and which day?

No, the thief will get away with it

Thanks for the advice. It does say which petrol station and it does say which day.

I don't suppose anyone knows whether the wine is working? I meant to go the last couple of days but am yet to do a shop. I used to be quite the opposite, shopping numerous times a day on glitch hunts but now I seem to cant make myself spend! ;)

    Not enough items to compare?....
    6 x rose wine
    4 x asda passata
    1 x asda salt
    1 x asda soup
    1 x asda sweetcorn
    1 x asda peas
    1 x asda stock cubes
    1 x asda stuffing

    8 different items
    Can anyone see a problem

Someone yesterday bought a 33p can of A's smartprice sweetcorn.

It's not listed on A.com or MSM.com which seems to be why it didn't count as a comparable item

    sorry to quote myself

just looked at the price return, i also bought a tin of sweetcorn for 0.33p, "asda smart price sweetcorn 326g"

but this is not on it anywhere, but it is on the recepit,

    can anyone explain this??

Have you checked the items you bought on MSM? If they don't compare with any other supermarket then they are not counted in the 8, I believe. Not sure of the rules if they are out of stock?

As others have said, it's much safer if you are going for APG to put 2 or 3 extra items in to be safe - a banana, a brown onion and a red onion would probably have cost about 30p.

I'd take them back for a refund and try again ;)

Am I wrong in thinking that you only need one item ( obviously:)) to compare but need to buy at least 8 different items in all, or am I just blonde without being blonde :rotfl:
