    Hi folks,

Got a washing on just now, and it made think how little ironing I do now, compared to years ago. My mum(aged 89) irons most things, but I iron very little, but I'm still particular about some things, like duvet covers and pillowcases, (but not sheets because you don't see them).

What about jammies and nighties? Does anyone iron them.:rotfl::rotfl:

My mam irons everything she was round my house and I got my washing in and put my undies in a pile to take upstairs, mam says to me, "are you not going to iron these?" as she picked up a thong from the undies pile, I said to her, "Mam the day I feel the need to iron my gussets is the day I give up"

She even irons the yellow dusters when she washes them, jama bottoms get creases down the front :(
Anyone can cuddle but only the Welsh can cwtch :)

  • Morning everyone. Been a bit AWOL lately.

i have been having some mental health issues recently and finally plucked up the courage to go docs yesterday. I am so glad i did, i had the most helpful doctor i have seen in years and has referred me to therapy and not just some tablets. I just don't feel i can talk to anyone at the minute.

I have a few week off work now to try and make myself feel better.

Feel a bit stupid really as lots of you are going through far worse at the moment.

3dogs its lovely to see you posting again.

I popped on the love brands FB page this morning and they have a new coupoon- £1 off Nescafe Original, Nesquick or Nestle cereals. HTH

    Morning.

Sunny here but have a flooded garden after horrendous rain last night:(

Does anyone know if the pork is still a goer? I had to go to a Tesco Metro yesterday and they didn't stock it. Used a PP and the SA said she'd never seen one before:eek: She wouldn't give me my receipt back either. Insisted she'd better keep it with the voucher. I'd already been stood there for 10 mins whilst she went to query about the PP voucher so I didn't bother arguing:(

Might have a chance to go to big Tesco later for pork if it's still on

Hope everyone has a productive day
  • please don't talk about ironing I have a mountain of it in my spare room
I HATE ironing and only do what I have to.Now I know I will have to go and tackle it now:mad:

I have OCD where the ironing is concerned so my teenagers remove all their stuff from the basket and iron it when I am not around. It stops me complaining that they haven't done it right....

However for my own and DH's I do everything except underwear. Including sheets, tablecloths and tea towels!!

you look for OOD (out of date) shelf labels - usually yellow.

Then you pay full price at the till and oops notice that the discount didn't kick in.

So you go to the customer service desk and say how surprised you are that you were overcharged. the sales assistant then walks (slowly) over to the wine section to check for the OOD label and returns with it to the CS desk. Under their DTD policy they are meant to give you double the difference between what you were charged and what you should have been charged.

And make sure that YOU walk over with them to find the SEL! Its not unknown for them to shove the SEL in their pocket and come back denying that the wrong price was on the shelf. Devious tow rags !

Doesnt matter what anyone else is going through its not a competition everybodys bodys/minds handle things differently. As long as your getting help thats all that matters :) Hope you feel better soon :)
You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in
