Hi all what to do what to do. I got dtd on hairstreightners yesterday sel was £20 CHARGED 49.99!! got dtd no probs but receipt Not marked!! What would I get if i took them back, bearing in mind that im a bit of a coward when confronted by trouts. Would I get £20 back or £49.99, any advis peeps??

If the receipt is for £49.99 then I suspect that is what you would get as a refund - if they can't tell from the receipt that you have already had DTD ! I would be inclined to take them back to a different store though .

I get where your coming from, they are quite intimidating dogs to look at, and some are really vicious. But most are soft as teddy bears.
Really sorry you had a bad experience with the dog when you were little as it really does cloud your judgment. Again it's down to the owners. It angers me so much when they are so irresponsible. My kids were Badly effected by what they seen, but they grew up with dogs so they knew not all dogs were the same. Even as a hopelessly devoted dog lover (mine are my babies) I'm still wary of certain breeds, and would cross the road before passing one.

We had a lovely black lab called Sindy (which I've only JUST worked out why she was called that = d'oh!) and she was as daft as a brush, labs are 'gun dogs' but she was scared of her shadow, so wonderful :)

Then there was Lucy, our golden retriever, I had to rehome her when my mum died as I couldn't look after her, I was gone about 12 hours a day :( I still can't think of her without crying.

But I get what you're saying, I guess I'm scared of dogs I don't know, if I know they're softies then I have no problem. Except huskies, though they are stunning, they always look like wolves to me and I'm sure they will eat my arm if I try to stroke them :rotfl:

  • I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you- without you lot, there is no way that I could do half of what I do now, certainly I wouldn't be in a position to do my nephews birthday party as well as I will be doing.

I have learnt masses from you guys about money saving, and how to get the best of what I spend. I don't think I could ever go back to my pre elite ways :)

    Thank you all

I second that. Thanks to everyone on here, I've saved quite a bit :) so many many thanks :T
