AngelsMadv wrote: »Because it is not, and that's my point. To be fair FK likes ribbing me, and I him, and it is nothing more than that. I do not want to go massively into it, as no one will ever offer reasoned arguments (other than FK) and I simply become the bad one because "you" (could be anyone) disagree with me but produce no evidence.
I was a research assistant before my current role so know all about referencing. I do not just say on a post "you are wrong, so-and-so is right so there" etc.
My evidence is here:
Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd reserves the right to withhold the issuance and/or redemption of Sainsbury's Brand Match Coupons where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim is being made or when our goodwill is being abused.
Now, if you think that FK's stash is not abusing Saisnbury's Good will, then I'll post his photograph on their Facebook wall and tell them it was all for 50p per six. Obviously I won't do this as I'm not a troll but I'm pointing out to you that it is breaking the T&Cs.
The same with the Tesco Price Promise. Actively targetting shops is not "legit".
Show me where is is legit (The T&Cs say it is not) and also show me where using more than 10 is legit (I could coun't back numerous people on this thread who break that) and I'll eat my [STRIKE]entire pork stash[/STRIKE] hat! :rotfl:
The standard response I exspect is "yer but, oh,, er, yetr but it's just wrong so there" or words to that effect.
Please prove me wrong, or simply apologise...
I dont see it as abusing brand match and here is my reasoning for that
If.1000 people each wanted to buy 7 packs of Bavaria in Tesco then Tesco would take 7000x£1.50 or £10500
If those 1000 all went to S and used the vouchers/brand match system then S would get the following
1000 x £10.50 cash from each person
7000 x £1.50 from Bavaria
Thats £21.000 that S has taken. Ok they've dished out £10000 of BMs but they are still £500 nett up on Ts. !That £10000 of BMs has to be spent in S and it will undoubtedly be spent by most people on shops totalling more than £10 so they will take further money from each person when they return to use the BM
I dont see it as abusing the brand match so long as Sainsburys are still getting more money than T would if they sold the same number of bottlesApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Afternoon all you happy shoppers
Quiet day here, no rushing around shopping, unless a big glitch pops up :rotfl:
I see the Clover is now 2 for £3 in Tosco,, so 50p a tub if you use 2 coupons, not bad. Found 3 wombles yesterday and got £4.27 back in PP. :j
Off to try to catch up a bit, doubt I'll manage much as you all talk too much.In a good way of course.

I bought my DD an iPad, my DS an iPod, myself an iPhone...and the wife an iRon..
She wasnt impressed even after i explained it can be integrated with the iWash, iCook and iClean network. This sadly triggered the iNag service....[SIZE=-1]Who's the more foolish: the fool, or the fool who follows him?[/SIZE]OBI-WAN KENOBI:beer: :A :beer:0 -

I should probably take offense at that

do i need to cross reference or wil you take my word for it:D
i agree we all have different lines (enough said from me on this one) we all have a view but no need to fall out.
It wasnt 50p per seven either
Sainsburys got paid 50p cash (thats 10.50 cssh received less the £10 BM they issued) and they also received £10.50 compensation from Bavaria for every 7 packs.
So they received £11.00 per 7 whicb is more than T charge for 7
Are we really abusing brand match by helping S take more money than T? I wouldn't have thought soApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Good afternoon everyone - just off out to the local Express to do a bit of wombling and pick up tonight's winning Euromillions ticket :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Had the devil of a time with the quiz this morning - had to sit there humming lyrics, really slows you up :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
my opinion...for whats its worth...is to live and let live
at some stage, all supermarkets will revise their strategies to entice customers instore - this may result in a 'worse' incentive, but s the Elite, we will always find a way to gain the most from the system.
Whilst I agree that a blatant abuse of the system (in any way, shape or form) will bring those changes quicker, I also think posting photos of stashes on an open forum (which we already know the supermarkets monitor), will have the same effect.
I have 'supplies' or certain products, that may make some posters go green with envy (or sickness!)....yet no supplied of other products which some posters have stacks of......yet I would deliberately not post pics on here, nor go into graphic detail of my shopping habits. Not because I couldnt cope with the grief on here ( I think most of you know I will stand my ground), but because I wouldnt want any supermarket to 'click on' to who I am, or change their rules based on my pics or suggestions!
I'm not jealous of what other people achieve or obtain, but I think the continual chat and photos will only put ideas into supermarkets minds on how to change things for the better of the company.
I think we should all agree to disagree, end the chat about the issue....and spend the time more creatively......finding glitches!!!!hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

Agree with you completely here - and there is another point that is missing here and a very simple one. You could "get done" for reusing a pp but there is no way you could get done for buying 7 beers using 7 vouchers.never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
