Welcome Aeschylus. In a word, yes! Sometimes it's trial and error.

Morning all . Just popping in quickly to let you know that Approved Food currently have 20 cellophane packs of 2 cream crackers for £1- may be helpful for those who take packed lunches to work, or picnics. Limit of 200 packs per customer (typing that anywhere else would be funny).

Happy birthday Nikkilala (I dreamed I came to London and met you last night ! :rotfl:) and fuzzydo. Have a wonderful glitching day!

Right back off to catch up, please stop nattering! :D
    Hope is not a strategy.

    Morning

First post in here, have read with great interest and starting to understand, just one question I can not get my head around.

I did my first comparison last night on Tescos website it came back with N/A over the majority of items, whilist I understand they only compare "comparable" products there were ones on the till that I buy at other supermarkets made by different suppliers.

For example. Kids cross and blackwell pasta shapes, I buy these at Morrisons Asda and Tesco, yet it gave me a N/A

is this normal for them to be really picky and find the slightest excuse not to compare?

Welcome Aeschylus, and many thanks for my new fact for today (googled your user name :))

Sadly this is normal and the pp comparisons are very unpredictable. Lots and lots of stuff that should be straightforward comparisons comes back n/a and things also randomly stop and start comparing on a whim. Keep an eye on this thread and also the main jtd thread as peeps regularly update on what T's current whim happens to be, and keep your fingers crossed when submitting a pp :)
  • Just checked my emails and I put a price check in at 5pm yesterday and the results came back at 11pm. 6 hours is a record for me, means I can spend it today.

    Hi chaps

Gonna send the missus to Mr T tomorrow whilst I'm laid up.... and got a few things on the thread to write down for her...

Have seen these on ebay - are these available on any of the usual coupon sites?

We tend to get through Robinsons so these would be useful.

Also did I read that there are some good deals on the cereal around Oat to Simple and some additional coupons (OH likes these).

I had an interesting one today. We were hungry so stopped off at Mr A's for lunch (well I have 'luncheon vouchers' for Mr A so it made sense). We got various odds and ends and bill came to 6 quid odd.

I handed over a few APG's. SA scanned em all then says 'oh.....seems we owe you 13p!'......I said no worries, I'll go grab a bag of crisps as you can't owe me money!

It's fine she says and tenders the sale only for a request for authorisation to appear on the till. I'm thinking I'm in for a right old trouting when the supervisor arrives!

SA explains to supervisor what has happened. Supervisor says 'give him the 13p this time' then turns to me and says 'we are supposed to put it on a gift card for you but as its only 13p you can have the cash'.

You could have knocked me down with a feather!!!! :rotfl:

Similar authorisation request at end of my shop at A last week - because I'd used too many coupons. Not sure what the limit is before it pops up, I'd probably only used about 10 plus a couple of APGs. Unfortunately I still had a few pence to pay. Supervisor just authorised immediately though, no hesitation - sure that wouldn't have been so friendly at T

If it compares - all the stuff I bought on tuesday night for M comparison showed as N/A or old prices. I know they check prices on mon/weds so hopefully will have caught up with price changes now.

    Quick question

Mr S the shandy vouchers can you get more than 1 through a manned till.

I only have a coupe of lager vouchers left, so thinking it's time to get the 50p shandy.

    Thanks in advance.
