Dunno if this counts as a womble but my OH once found 2 Asda delivery crates of shopping at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere early one morning lol0

right here goes my events from last night/early hours of this morning!
Of which I can now laugh about! (bearing in mind I'm a bit down due to things at the moment!lol )
took all afternoon on and off to write my lists.
set of to a's for shop no.1 (ds1 age 16 decides to come with me)........totally miss the whoopsies and no luck on any of the bargain cheap items. So get the pepsi, tea bags and 8 others items pay, leave load up car
................
then notice there's fluid dripping from under the inside edge of my car!
I confess to knowing nothing about cars apart from how to drive!so ring dh who confirms yes I should ring recovery incase its brake fluid ect.do not drive.
so ring them and told will be upto 62mins wait!well this was at 9.20pm so sat in car waiting, carpark getting emptier and empier as it dawns on me that this store closes at 10pm! lol as we are now the only car in the carpark and omg I hope they don't turn the carpark lights off! yes I'm afraid of the dark! and ds is no better! getting nervy now as I look up at the full moon!!!
recovery turns up  well apparently (am embaressed by now to say the least!) so here's the basic version, theres some channel with a seal that runs along under the edge of the car which has caps in which he took off and it was wearing thin/out and more fluid came outit was.................................rain water!
:o:o lol
thankfully he was a lovely guy,but he did say "what shall I put down as what was wrong"!:rotfl:
at this point I thought right lets just go home, but no my car was nearly on 0,and the plan was to go on to t's get cearel/voucherss ect and fill up.
do I do the sensible thing and put a few pounds in the garage around the corner? no we decide to carry on as planned.......big mistake
we go to t's get all the shopping,no tea bags/cake mixes muck up the cearel only get 4 vouchers
look over at the petrol station and the shop is in darkness after 10pm you can only pay by card at pump.................yep guess what I realise in t's.........no credit card!
Panicking now as I know there is some petrol left in the car but was it enough as this was the furthest t's away from home!
sat in car trying to think where the nearest garage is that will have a manned shop. How do I know I always fill up when shopping!!
well a group of ladies and men have come back to their car which is parked next to me,so out I get and ask them..............well all I can say is 1 of the lovely ladies saved the night and told me about one nearby that is open 24hrs! :A she and her friends were so lovely/kind and friendly :A I wish I could thank them again!
get petrol decide not to go to 2nd t's and s's as planned :rotfl:
got home shoved shopping indoors crawled into bed!
hence I have put ds1 off of shopping for life!!:rotfl:
moral of the story, don't take money saving to the extremes of getting in this predicament!:rotfl:
oh and while I was waiting for the recovery I sorted through my bag,and thats when I realised my bm had expired0 -

morning everyoneIlovemykids wrote: »thankyou
made me well up again(in a good way
) what am I like? lol
I think with trying extra hard at the mo. to save as much money as possible due to different things/circumstances it hit a bit hard specially when its my fault:mad:
you could try asking them to extend it?
i had a new look gift card i found about three months ago id forgotten about that expired two weeks before and it had £30 but i went in the store and told them id spoken to bosses and theyd told me to explain what had happened and get it put on new card (small white lie) but it worked and they gave me new card with same balance and new expiry date.
or email them and explain? You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in
God created men first, cause you always makes a rough draft before a masterpiece!0 -
