Evening everyone, not much time to catch up tonight but sending out hugs, congrats and birthday wishes.

Have to confess that I have been very non mse today. I have an interview tomorrow and decided to get my hair done on the way home from work tonight. I didnt ask how much it was and just went in, but I spent more on my hair cut than I have ever done on a weekly shop :eek::eek::eek:. No make that a month :eek: (even before I found you guys- when I was a spendthrift) I have never spent this much on myself before and feel really guilty now.

Haven't told OH yet and I wont if I can help it. Trouble is, I got home and no one noticed, dd said that it didn't look any different, OH said that it looked shiny but didnt say anything else. :( Was hoping that it would make me feel more confident but now I just feel annoyed with myself for wasting the money.

To top it all went into Tosco (local express) for some whoopsies (vain attempt to justify the spend) and had an awful experience. Used the ss till and the till would not recognise any of the reductions, sa was really grumpy that she had to get up off her chair at the counter and help me. My dd was helping pack the bag and she moved an item and it said "unexpected item.. etc ..." the sa came to the till and shouted at my daughter for moving the bag. I was fuming.
Did not want to tell the sa what I thought of her in front of my daughter but told her to leave it and consoled my daughter who was crying by this time. The sa then decided to pick up my shopping, throw it on the floor and shouted that is what happens when you move the bag. I left the store, shopping and all and have complained to HO via the survey website thingy. (Do you think they will read this or should I call them?)

I know that it can be stressful working in T's and I am always polite to the shop assistants but that was unbelievable. Think that my dd was more shocked than anything, she is only 8, a really good girl who only wanted to help.
Needless to say that have wrung my hands through my expensive hair cut and now look like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards. Have to laugh or I will cry.
When I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think
"oh carp what is she up to now!"

In my local store they had a cage full of boxes of these

    Black and green packaging
    Barcode ending 8280

    76p each!
    Price on direct £17.50!

Sorry to hear you have had a bad day LoKitty, it is good that you have treated yourself, I know what you mean though about feeling guilty about spending money on yourself, my haircut cost me less than half I pay for the dogs each month :o:o
I am sure it looks stunning, if you as DH's for advice they never notice.

I am not surprised you are angry at T's. I would call HO if I was you That SA needs seriously retraining in customer service.
Hope you can put it all behind you for tomorrow and good luck for the interview.

It shows as 2 for £4 on my A.com (150ml size) so I would say it is highly likely that it will compare, not sure if that helps you though. I have bought it but didn't bother price checking it :o

I've bought them at A and got the difference and the 10%, the wipes and cream also work.

    Happy birthday CousinJack! :j

Lolkitty, there is nothing wrong with pampering yourself - especially in prep for an interview- good luck!!

Interestingly.... in T's they had a palate of red Celebration's tubs with no price. I got all excited and nearly dug the emergency 5p piece out of my handbag for those special items... and it scanned £5. Maybe one to watch :)

Loooving the Olympics and how joyful all the winning celebrations are. :T
