ps3 £411 at costco

not sure if this has already been posted but costco (trafford park) had ps3's for £411 this morning they also had a few games for around £30/33 did'nt really look at them though

Is that inclusive of VAT ?

Personally I think anyone wanting a PS3 should wait a month or two till Sony realise how badly the launch has bombed, drop their pure arrogance, and reduce their prices to make it competitive with their direct competition.

I agree that the EU launch has been bad, 4 months after everyone else, poor backwards compatibility, still no real decent launch titles but dont expect a price drop. There is no like for like competition for the PS3, the Xbox 360 is superior in terms of games, but the extras needed like HD DVD playback and wireless network connectivity do put the 360 on equal terms in both hardware spec (of course the hard drive is way smaller) and up towards that PS3 price point.

I saw this in the leeds branch as well. and yes it is inclusive of vat for £411 but in leeds thiere were no games available just the console.

They lose $200 or around that region for every machine sold so I doubt the price will drop. Best deal is 10% off Virgin with either their credit card or a nus card as far as I'm aware - paid £382.50 for mine.
