Similar to the JC here OP, theres the podium as its called and theres at least 1 member of staff from the job centre and at least 4 or 5 guards milling around. If you happen to be sent upstairs 1 of the guards will get on the blower to the 1 at the top of the stairs to say theres someone coming up who then walks you to a seat(no idea why you have to be walked to the seat).

We are in the back of beyond, there is no reception at the Job Centre. You have to attract the attention of an adviser to come and take your card off you. And yes, they are all very busy doing nothing most of the time.
There is no waiting area either, just 2 seats in the middle of the room where you can hear all the conversations going on at the desks.
And the Disability Employment Adviser has an office up a steep flight of stairs, with no lift.
    Life in the country, eh?

Yes, not seen any guards but always at least 4-5 staff standing/sitting at the front desk, you walk up and not one of them attempt to help you, you have to try and catch one of their eyes inbetween them talking, one was falling alseep on he desk with his head on the desk.

One time I had to wait and heard them laughing at people and saying they too should develop an illness so they didn't have to work, I had the cheek to take my phone out of my pocket, this got one of them to walk over to me and tellme it wasn't allowed, I wasn't even on the phone, so making no noise, I was leaving that to them on the front desk.
  • The big jobcentre where you have to go for the interview to start your claim as my local job centre doesn't do that part has 4 security guards hovering about and 2 people on reception. The job centre I have to sign at has no security and they changed it so that now if you have an appointment you just sit down and wait and only enquiries are dealt with at the reception.
