HELP Solar Panels - SSE wont honour tariff!

On 25th February 2012, I had a 4Kw solar panel system installed in my house.

I received the relevant certificates on the 28th February 2012 and immediately sent them recorded signed for next day delivery to SSE. At the same time, I sent an email with all the relevant documentation scanned on to it (I still have this sent item saved).

I was very aware that this information had to get to them before 3rd March 2012, to keep the good tariff rate of £0.433.

I telephoned SSE and was advised that the documents had been received and that I would receive the full tariff as I had got in before the cut off date.

I have not received any payments to date despite completing the payment forms twice and sending them to them. Today I received an email saying I am only getting the £0.23 per unit rate.

I am very concerned and cannot get an answer from them as to why this is. I still have the sent email but not the tracking receipt as I was told when I phoned it had been received so must have binned it.

Can anyone help me with how I can go about challenging this? I am genuinely concerned as I need the full rate to pay back the loan I took out to pay for the panels.

Thank you

David

I suggest that you follow their standard complaints procedure.

After a long drawn out telephone conversation with them, I have come out on top HOORAH!

I found a bit of paperwork from them with a start date of 29/02/2012 on a page. I pointed this out and they "rechecked" their details and found out they were wrong and I was right!
