Tesco help

Please move if this is in wrong place as unsure where to post. What would happen if I ordered items for home delivery which were priced completely different (don't mean pennies here) from the price instore. Don't normally use home shopping but would happily pay the delivery charge to get the items at the price shown in my basket. Would it get charged at the store price or what? As these would be the only items I'd be ordering then there's no point paying delivery if I wasn't going to get them at that price. Sorry for the ramble on.
If I had known then what I know now . . .

If it doesn't work out the way you're expecting, refuse delivery and call customer services to explain why. If your reason is substantiated, they'll refund everything you owed.
By the sounds of it you've found something that's obviously underpriced or there is a mistake and you're expecting them to notice. In this case I would give it a try but be ready to forfeit the delivery as Tesco might not show any sympathy and charge you, which they have the right to do.0 -
Is this Tesco Direct or delivery from store (ie supermarket stock)??British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

just like the previous poster said
refuse it if need be
sometimes deliveries are differently priced to in store anyway depeding on which tesco internet shopping zone you shop with0 -

I ordered the peanuts before that were wrong priced for the large kp tubs it worked out at 5p a tub. The reduced price was shown on the confirmation invoice they emailed me When they delivered I was charged full price £2.xx a tub and I phoned and complained that I had been charged more than on their confirmation email and I was refunded the difference.0

When you shop with Tesco on line the amount in your basket is the 'guide price'. You pay the 'instore price' on the day of delivery. The guide price is based on the prices in-store today. But what you pay is the price in-store on the day of delivery and some prices may have changed0

But unless your driver is prepared to wait while you check your prices you have every right to expect that you will pay the price they have sent you in the email onfirmation.0
