Do you do Home Brew ?

Options
Just noticed this amongst todays free Kindle books with Amazon.
If you're already making beer or wine this is all about distilling the stronger stuff, moonshine whiskey; vodka etc.
I've not read it so can't say how good it is.

You can download the kindle app on an ipad, laptop or pc so you dont necessarily need a kindle.

The government only frown on it when you try to sell it, methinks.

No it is the act of distilling that is illegal all by itself

Damson gin / sloe gin etc I assume you buy a bottle of already distilled gin /spirits then add damsons etc to flavour a bottle of tax & duty paid spirits?

If you do try & sell on then yes you are selling liquor without a licence and can expect a knock on the door

No, definitely illegal in UK, taken form HM customs own site:

    (c) distils or has in his possession any low wines or feints; or

Now that i look it says in the preface in that book to be warned that making your own booze is illegal in parts of the States and many other Countries.
They must have to put that so that they can't be done for aiding and abetting or whatever.

Not only is it illegal, it's also extremely dangerous - several men died a few months back when the unit they were distilling in blew up. And, unless you know what you're doing, you can end up with other 'alcohols' that will do you serious damage.
