The Times is giving away a Blackberry Bold 9900 every hour between 9am and 9pm on Saturday 4 August - competition does not open until 9am on Saturday.

Terms and conditions as follows:

TERMS & CONDITIONS: You must be 18 years old or over. Winners will be selected at random from all entries received for each hour. If there are no entries in an hour, the winner will be selected from all entries received in the previous hour. There will be one winner per hour and 12 winners for the competition. The competition starts at 9am on August 4, 2012 and closes at 20.59 on August 4, 2012. Each hour will run from XX.00 to XX.59 (for instance, the first hour is 9.00 to 9.59). Entry open to residents of UK only. Each winner will win a Blackberry Bold 9900. We have 6 Black and 6 White to give away. Draw will take place on Monday, August 6, 2012 and winners will be notified within seven days. Best endeavours will be made to deliver prizes before September 7, 2012, but this cannot be guaranteed. Entering the whole competition more than once, like entering once the first hour of the competition, then again another hour.

Same as with the competition this past Sunday. The people who have won seemed to have only entered once the entire competition.:eek:

I really don't see how it would make a difference either way ... just "luck of the draw".

Last Sunday I entered every hour and no win for me either. How do you know the winners only entered once?

How can it be proved either way?

It could happen that everybody that wins has only had one go in the whole 12 hours or has had up to 12 goes that day.

It's like at the bingo, some people win on one card/ticket/book and others don't even win on sixty cards/tickets/books! (when they play electronically)

guys, have a read at this thread, https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4094659, people there saying that they know those who only entered once or twice during the day and they have won, but those who have been entering every hour don't seem to have any luck...I think createbeauty was saying she won't be entering every hour after reading those posts........

most likely it's coincidence, it does not mean that if you enter only once or twice you have a bigger chance of winning, on the contrary if you enter every hour you have more chances to win. It's a random draw!

Regardless, I'm only going to enter once. I doubt I'd win either way so...
