I'm having problems when filling out online application forms that they ask for 2 references but I only have one (my only previous employer), who else can I use for a reference?

Also all my college teachers have left the college so I can't ask them0

Local influential people (councillors, politicians, judges etc) are good bets.
Even people you know in professions such as doctors, religion etc.
Basically people who can vouch for your character.0 -
Family friends who have a respectable profession?0

I have used family friends in the past. So long as it's not family and is someone who knows you well enough to vouch for you.0

I'll be stuck too when I start applying, because I've not had an employer for some years and everywhere I've worked has closed down/been taken over/moved, everybody's left/retired/untraceable.
And I don't know anybody influential and have no family friends, or friends.
It's a bugg4h really.0
