Quick Question - Mortgage Deed

After having a devil of a time getting a mortgage through Nationwide, we have now received the Mortgage Deed to sign. We have two of these for signing.
Unfortunately one of them has the incorrect postcode written on the form! Is it acceptable for me to change the postcode prior to signing? I don't really need any more hold ups in this process.
