I used to get the smaller sack from morries (seconds) and they were brilliant but haven't seen them for weeks so have been buying the normal sacks (nearly a fiver) they are unwashed but don't keep at all well sprout like mad after a few days - grr! I use one a fortnight so cheaper than buying normal bags.
For the first time in ages I've just got one with biggish spuds in, so looking forward to my roast tatties tomorrow.

We keep ours in a cool cupboard in a paper bag (Primark!). They always keep better outside of the plastic bags they come in.

I make mash, sometimes adding extras like wholegrain mustard, pesto or a dash of milk, then use an ice-cream scoop to make lots of little mash scoops, line them up on a baking tray, wait until they're cold then freeze them on the tray. Once they're frozen, I bag them up. SO quick and easy to grab a few, microwave for 2-3 minutes, give them a good stir so they return to one load of mash and then blast them again for a further 2-3 minutes. Saves lots of money and also time.
