Mortgage fee

I took out a mortgage with HSBC in 2001 and repaid it back in 2005. When I repaid it, I was charged about £1000 by HSBC and I was wondering if it would be too late to reclaim it. Thanks in advance for any info

It will have been a type of fee rather than just a mortgage fee. I assume you paid of early and it is an early repayment charge?

If so it will be in your terms and conditions which you signed and agreed to.

Under what idea do you think you can reclaim it? And as my first point, what type of free was it?

sounds like a early redemption charge. if its as per t&c then it cannot be reclaimed as not incorrect.
