last year as my ex was about to have a deo put on his wages he stook himself on jsa for 2 weeks, csa finally got hold of him and he said he was still claiming jsa which was a lie as he had returned to work. Was told that he was under investigation and would be visited for lying and a set amount of £50(£37.50 to me as another pwc) was set from 26 october last year.
Fast forward and in Jan they started to chase him again(no investigation or visit) and saturday finally got a letter with a decision halfing his original assessment(now £14) and backdating it to the 26 october. Over the months I have been on the phone constently and been told that he was still on that set amount of £50.
Of course i have never received a penny so if i ever get the £14 will be a bonus but as he has given them the runaround for years (its taken from november to now to get this sorted) yes csa are at fault for not chasing him but at the end of the day he's never given his details willingly csa have had to find it all out themselves so seems bizare to me that they are letting him off(backdating the £14) instead of making him pay the £37.50(my share of the £50) up until this decision was made on 24 july.
Might sound as if i am being greedy but i'm not, never received a penny in 9 years! Just don't see the point of putting him on a set amount to change it when they finally get his details!

The £50 would have been a default maintenance decision, something that is put in place while further investigations are pending. A DMD can always be revised once the information is received. It makes no difference whether that is with the NRP's help or not.
To not revise that calculation would be unfair, and more importantly, inaccurate.
Not wanting to start any arguments, but say the new assessment was for £150, would you still want to keep the £50 DMD in place between October and July?
I'm pretty sure that calculation letters involving dmds point out that they will be revised when the info is received.0 -

would love a £150 assessment lol, my ex has got away scott free for years and i'm now only entitled to maintenance from 2008 even though theres been a claim since 2003 so i never know what the csa are doing! Don't expect to ever receive a penny anyway!
I also received a letter stating " I have not provided the information they have asked for so they can not look at my case again and the payments will stay the same" with my decision lol0
