I'm looking for some advice on who to contact when a shop's head office lets you down.

I bought two items in the Oasis sale back in June. A couple of days later I tried to return them to a different branch but was told, despite having the receipt and it only being a couple of days, that I could only have an exchange. I was in a huge rush as I was going on holiday that night so I went home, typed a quick email to the head office asking them to confirm this policy and went on holiday.

On my return I had an email stating their policy was to offer a refund for 28 days after purchase so I took the items to another branch but was told that they could only give a refund within 14 days.

I emailed Oasis again, they apologised for the confusion and confirmed it was, in fact, 14 days. They also said that if I posted the items back to them they would send me the refund as it wasn't my fault.

I posted the items back and had heard nothing a week later so I emailed again and asked if it had arrived. They told me it had and they were 'checking' it and would be in touch. I still haven't heard anything, despite another week passing and now I have no Oasis clothes and no £55! What should I do next?

Hopefully this won't bump the post but I finally got a cheque yesterday :)

Keep pestering until they get sick of you. Start every week, then every day... eventually they'll just give it back. £55 is not a lot of money to them to get rid of the annoyance of an irritating customer.
