Asda delivered my groceries at about 10pm. My husband took the bags and put them in the hallway and signed fr the delivery. Just when we were putting things away, we noticed that a curry from their take away meal has torn open (the film) and it was all over my carpet. I tried cleaning it with vanish today, no use
Can anyone please suggest what to do?

Try:
1. Mix one tablespoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water.
2. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent/vinegar solution. Blot frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears.
3. Sponge with plain water; blot until the liquid is absorbed.
4. Sponge the stain with rubbing alcohol; blot to remove the stain.
5. Sponge with water; blot until the liquid is absorbed.
6. If the stain remains, mix one teaspoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of ammonia with two cups of warm water.
7. Sponge the stain with the detergent/ammonia solution. Leave it on the stain for at least 30 minutes, blotting every five minutes with a clean white cloth and more solution.
8. Sponge with cold water and blot dry.

A great post by meadows but I would also try bicarb of soda to bubble the stain out.£36/£240

Washing up liquid is excellent as recommended above, it breaks down fat when you use it on dishes, and does the same thing on fatty stains like curry. The bicarb should get the food dye stain out. I had an entire pot of olive oil dropped on a cloth handbag in a restaurant and by literally pouring fairy liquid on it and leaving it to soak it got it all out, even though the bag was a pale lavender colour.0

I had a bottle of milk from Asda and it leaked in my car boot of my previous car. Asda did pay for my car to have a full valet, which included shampoo and wax on the exterior.:D
Perhaps Asda may let the OP lend one of those carpet cleaners at a hire centre for free. If that is the case, make the most out of it and clean the other carpets in the house;)0
