I went in on Monday at 3pm for a 7.30 pm session. No one batted an eyelid. The longer you are in the park, the more money you will spend - the organisers must love it !0

It really is fantastic to hear that so many people are having a great experience of visiting the Olympics. Apart from a few grumbles about queues for food, I've hardly read or heard a negative comment from anyone.
So much for the doom and gloom merchants who predicted disaster and the UK's inability to organise such a huge event.0 -

I am going to the evening session on Monday. I have a ticket. Hope I enjoy it as much as all of you. Can't go really early as I am not allowed to take time off work.0 -
Had a fabulous day on Wednesday. Only had park tickets but they are so worth it, the atmosphere is amazing
We went in earlier than our ticket time, no queues at 3.30pm to get in
We also had Orbit tickets, what an amazing structure and the views are wonderful. Very solid feeling structure and I'm not keep on heights but the walk down was brilliant.
We do have tickets for hockey next week so really looking forward to going back.0 -
We went today to the morning session of the basketball. 2 adults and a 2yr old. Journey in was fine (came on the mainline train in). Pushchairs were allowed to go in the wheelchair lane as you came out of Stratford, so you passed the huge queues. Got to security, less than 5 mins to get through there. Then into the park.
Lots going on...saw a brass band, some tv interviews, various sportmen and women (some wearing their gold medals), walked past the BBC studio and saw Peter Wilson (the GB gold medalist in Shooting) as he was leaving.
Went to our arena. V well organised, lots of pram/pushchair storage. Games makers all very friendly and helpful, they'll take group photos if you ask nicelyFood and drink is a bit pricey but we took our own. Did venture into the McDonalds but the queue was huge. Also long queues to get into the 2012 Megastore and most items are v pricey.
Getting out was a bit more chaotic but the crowds were massive by then. Got directed into the Westfield shopping centre, then out and down to Stratford.
Was a memorable day out and so so pleased to have experienced it. We're lucky enough to be going again next week (without the toddler, thankfully!).0 -
We have today arrived back from a brilliant but hectic week at the Olympics.
On Sunday we had tickets to We Will Rock You in Hyde Park - great start to our Olympic Holiday.
Monday we had tickets to the Olympic Park - Had a good look around, took loads of pictures and saw some competitors walking around. There were queues for most things but we saw what we wanted and enjoyed the atmosphere even though we had no tickets for any event there. We arranged taxis to transport us there and back as didn't want that hassle of the tube.
Tuesday we had Men's Skeet Qualification and Finals tickets at the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich. Great atmosphere and great location. Team GB didn't qualify for the final but we did witness a fantastic shooter from the USA Vincent Hancock set a new Olympic Record and subsequently win gold. Again the crowds were great even though our guy was out. The games makers, troops and police did a great job and were all friendly and cheerful. Due to me having mobility issues we were able to park outside the barracks and the arrangements made for those with disabilities and mobility issues were brilliant.
Wednesday we went into London and it was as quiet as it looked on tv. We drove into the city and experienced no issues with getting around.
Thursday we had tickets for the Men's Double Trap Qualification and Finals and well what a fantastic day, seeing Peter Wilson win Gold at a home games was something we'll never forget.
We had a great week but are now truly shattered.0
