Using Findatrade.com and other similar sites

hello,

Am new to the forum and just had a quick question to see if users on here have used sites to help get work for trades. I've been a chippy for 14 years now but work has been tricky to find of late so have bought a few leads through a site called findatrade.

It all looks pretty promising as have started work on one job and have a viewing to quote on another later this week. However was just wondering what other peoples experiences of these sites over a longer period are?

Am thinking of joining other sites too but dont want to go crazy, as most other sites seem to want monthly fees just to use them which is why I went with findatrade in the first place as they don't.

any info on using these and recommendations on other ways to generate work online would be greatly appreciated. am pretty much a techno fobe, but needs must at the moment and the internet seems the way to go.
