Whats happened to Nintendo DS Lites?

 I have saved all my nectar points and got Argos vouchers for surveys all saved over the last 3 years. I want to buy 2 Nintendo DS lites in white as requested by my twins for their birthday.

I havent got the cash for them so am stuck. Argos are out of stock, have been for a couple of weeks and have no info on their system as to when they will be in stock.

Checking around though other places are out of stock. Stores that have them have had tthem in since Christmas. Is there a shortage similar to the Wii?

Any inside info anybody please.

Sounds like a problem with Argos... I bought one in Toys r us last week, no problem, for £99 with Brain Training thrown in for free

Its a problem with Tesco, Game and Currys. Toys R Us must have existing stock left. The problem is only one factory supplies the UK and has meant no stock of DS Lites and Wiis.
Game said they are expecting some end of week, I got my hopes up for Argos , but it was pointed out to me that Game are European and possibly can get more from stores in other countries. Tesco say there is no date for deliveries.

means I have two very disappointed children.
I have been saving vouchers for ages as well!

Just a thought but you could buy them from somewhere else and then when Argos get them in stock buy 2 and return them to the place you originally got them from.

Bit of messing and a risk tho.
2p off is still 2p off!
