Losing weight after Depo

Not related to weight loss but last week I discussed, with the nurse at the local sexual health clinic, coming off the depo after 3 years... she told me that even 3 years is considered "long term" use, which isn't recommended.You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back0

A pregnant woman needs an extra 200-300 calories a day on top of her normal intake. If you are not pregnant and succumb to the urge to eat, you are going to gain roughly a pound every fortnight. Eeek!
I eat every time i have an urge and even if i don't! Works wonders for me, i'm down to 9 and a half stone now. All those years i dieted too!
The implant has increased my hunger but i don't fight it. Maybe it will catch up with me one day

I was on depo for ten years - definitely long term use! I was about 2 stone heavier on it than when I came off - it literally dropped off me and I went from a 12 to an 8 without any effort at all. Sadly when I got PG and had my Dd three years ago I put it all back on and there it stays, but I've been pregnant a lot since then (lots of miscarriages) so my body is messed up right now.
But for me, coming off depo meant instant no-effort weight loss and it was great!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
