More farce from the ticketing system

A whole load of tickets just went on sale.

I grabbed and managed to get allocated very good seats at the evening athletics finals on the last Saturday. Then when I submitted my credit card, with a good 60 seconds remaining before timeout, I got a message telling me that the seats were no longer available.

Surely, once the seat numbers have been assigned, and provided you respond before the countdown timer gets to zero, that shouldn't happen?

Also, if I try now to get in, I'm consistently getting waiting times on my Chrome session that are over twice as long as my waiting times on my Firefox session. How is that possible? Here was me thinking we were all in a single queue. Apparently not!

Has there every been a piece of computer software so unfit for purpose?

Can you submit multiple requests in different browsers but with the same account/email address?

Don't think so. I'm using my account on Chrome and my partner's on Firefox.

Have been sitting in queues now since 11.50pm and it's not looking like I'll get anything

Seems to work, I've been trying it.

Request seats button now not working.

Big difference in responsiveness between Chrome (very slow) and Firefox (reasonable).

I had Row 5, centre block seats for Centre Court tomorrow (Murray, Roddick, Sharapova, Venus Williams, Djokovic, Laura Robson), but procastinated too long and lost them.

I gave up around 2am - nothing. But a friend did get some athletics tickets (£65 ones) at around 12.30am!
