Net book insurance claim

Hi

New Netbook bought in March - the screen has broken. We are unaware of any mis use, but I suspect that Currys will say we have dropped it so will not replace.

What are my other options? As it was bought with a Mastercard is there any help there? Or my contents insurance an pay the excess.

Any advice appreciated

DJ Verwood

Do you mean the screen won't turn on? ie blank. as this would be covered by warranty as will be a fault of the netbook.

Or the screen has smashed/cracked? as that would imply it was dropped or sat on. If this, you could claim on your home contents insurance.
