Can Excel tickets get you in the Olympic Park?

The London 2012 website is just awful for answering questions and I know the folks on MSE are just awesome at answering these questions.
So I'm off to watch weighlifting at Excel tomorrow, does my ticket get me access to the Olympic Park, even though it is not at the same place?
I tried separately buying tickets for the Olympic Park today, but when I logged in it could not find any tickets for tomorrow available.
thanks

No, you need an olympic park ticket, the reason you didnt find any on the website, is they are sold out0

Absolutely
Do me a favour, can you reply to this thread on Monday night/tuesday just saying "bump" - I'll get a notification email that will remind me to post here after.0 -

Queues were non existent - they did a really good job of steadily getting people in. Getting out was a bit slower, but steady.
Security checks - fundamentally the same as at an a airport, but a lot more relaxed/light hearted/quicker
Food - huge choice, literally everything, fish n Chips, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese etc. soft drinks about £1.60-3.00. Beer about £4.50. Most stall food was around £7.
Don't go to the Chinese resteraunt just outside the excel, it was awful and expensive0 -
In addition to this guys... I've not got a ticket but have heard they're selling out returned tickets as people leave early... Did you see any evidence of this at all?
I only live round the corner from the Excel and thought it would be well worth hanging around trying to get into as much as possible
Any help gratefully received
