Hi all - thanks for all the Banana comments!:DFraid not Rising, I like mine like yours and they just ripen so quickly - hence I make so many banana cakes. Only thing I know is putting bananas next to advocados makes the advocado ripen - not much help I'm afraid. Perhaps you could adjust your rules or have a banana pennies pot which doesn't count as a spend?
They ripen tomatoes too! mmmmm I love banana cakeand it's what I usually do with them but a def no with fat club I'm afraid.....
I do like the idea of a banana pennies pot & will certainly be doing that for Sept (when I'll hopefully have my head a bit more sorted:o)marmiterulesok wrote: »I think you can store bananas in the fridge.
Lakeland do a banana bag that goes in the fridge and bananas keep for up to 2 weeks:
www.lakeland.co.uk/search/banana-bag/q02.r16.1.
Good luck with the car tomorrow!
Thanks Marmite, I had tried them in the fridges (ages ago) but like Red suggests, I found the taste of them was lost - I'll have a look out for that bag next time I'm in town and see if it makes a difference:)

I drove my DF’s last week and forgot to tuck my left foot away.So I used my left foot to push down the clutch which turned out to be the brake and did a perfect emergency stop in the middle of the town. Ended up with some not very happy drivers behind me and peeling my DF’s face off the windscreen. :rotfl: So my advice is ...... tuck that foot away.
:rotfl:that did make me chuckle Freeby - thanks!:D I was pre-warned by the guy at the garage NOT to do that!
It went better than I thought (did have a few reaching for the gears when we got to roundabouts) and I was more impressed than I thought I'd be.
Unfortunately they didn't offer me what I wanted / needed for my car so currently *thinking* about it - would prob need to get a :shhh: loan  to fund the gap between what I have and the cost .... not sure if that's a route I really want to go down

I think that the banana bag is meant to go in the fridge, according to the catalogue.Shame if they lose their taste though.
It's too bad that the car deal isn't so straightforward.I hope that you find a relatively painless solution.
I'll be back later, hopefully with another nsd and the update.:)0
