Stale Death by Chocolate

I have some stale "Death by Chocolate" buns (used the cake recipe, but made cup-cakes from it).
Any idea what I can do with them? Chocolate cake crumbs for use as a cheesecake base springs to mind. Any other ideas please?

another recipe I have for these says to use 75g full fat cream cheese and 150g icing sugar to the cake crumbs instead of making your own buttercream

put in microwave for 10 seconds to warm up with a mug of boiling water or smothered in fudge sauce.. and eat warm with custard or ice cream
Cheesecake base sounds good to me.. those tins of carnation caramel are delumptious you could use that as the next layer then plain vanilla cheese on the top and a drizzling of choc sauce... nom
You could have frozen some while they were fresh for furture reference.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I have frozen leftover sponges cakes before - to be used in future to form part of puddings, I.e. sliced up with tinned fruit and cream or custard
Also used in a trifle with jelly etc very successfully. Try using either orange or blackcurrant jellyI love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Crumble them up and mix with vanilla ice cream. Me and my sister used to do this when we were younger with stale chocolate brownies. I think we actually enjoyed it more than just eating them fresh!Sealed pot challenge 5 #18220

Make them into truffles, simple melt a big bar of chocolate and some butter and pop in the breadcrumbs, add some booze if you have it such as brandy or baileys, or whisky or rum, if not add some other flavouring or leave plain, once cool roll into balls and roll in hot chocolate powder or vermicilli. Keeps for ages and make lovely pressies or sale bakes, well in theory, but in our house the mixture barely reaches the cool stage.0
