Very catalogue question.

I hope this is the right place?!

I am sure this is going to sound like a dumb blonde question....mostly cos I am one.

After a stupid period in my youth and the ongoing "ex" that left me with debts thing, I think my credit suitability is finally improving.

Anyways to the point in hand, I have recently applied for and been sent a Very catalogue. So the thick question is...
Does this mean I have a credit account with them? Or just a nice pretty book to look through?

I wouldn't normally go near catalogues but.....after thorough checking, the item I am tempted to order is spot on high street retail price and there is £10 introductory discount.

I can afford to buy this outright but is it better to buy through the catalogue and pay it off in full....and so on to put some nice ticks in boxes?

I am basically petrified of credit but want to start building up again.
Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

Thanks....I will have a scout about for one then!! That'd make me even happier!!

Even with £4 postage it's still £6 less than highstreet so not paying for the pleasure if you get my meaning.

I just want to start building ticks.... I have had a mobile for years that's paid and a credit card which is paid monthly but this is the first time I have ventured out of the safety of Lloyds credit facilities. So very scary!

    Very is easy
They list your 'take 3' payments
pay that amount for 3 months and its interest free
I use them for the odd sale item. got a couple of pairs of K swiss trainers the other week for £20 odd quid a pair

    Brilliant thankyou.

I thought if I used it for things I need (rather than want) and checked that the price was on par, then paid it....it was a good way to improve my credit worthiness.

I'm off to look at discount codes now!!

you can get free delivery to local shops!
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    New microwave £65!!

Used to zap dog offal when we forget to defrost it and ping steam veg for me.

Not expensive and old one is now taking longer than room temperature to defrost things.....so not exactly a luxury blow out. Only concession is I want a silver one so not gone for mega cheap!!!

I always do this too :)

Although it's a pain that the delivery driver comes to mine first with the free treat (from same order) and then cannot give me the other items on his van for me as they have to go to the newsagents up the road LOL.
