indian marinade? The honey wouldn't be a problem.
A breakfast dish where you mix yoghurt, a juice with oats and fruit if you have some. then let it sit over night, no cooking involved.
Banana and cherry muffins
150g self rising flour
1/2 teaspoon bicarb of soda
50g light muscavado sugar
1 ripe banana
150g fat free natural yoghurt
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg white
70g cherries stoned and chopped
Heat oven to 180 degree c, gas 4
Flour and bicarb into bowl keep back 1 tablespoon of sugar then mix with the flour, make a well in the centre
In bowl, mash bananas until nearly smooth, add yoghurt, oil, egg white
Mix till combined
Pour mixture quickly into dry ingredients and sparingly
Mix will look lumpy and have odd fleck of flour, don't be tempted to over mix
Tip in cherries and give one more stir
Devide between the 6 muffin cases, they will be quite full
Sprinkle the tops with the left over sugar
Bake for 18-20 mins
Cool for 5 mins before lifting onto wire tray to cook completelyOpinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0 -
Add a really good spoonful of chilli sauce (or a heaped teaspoon of chopped chillies) to it and marinade some chicken thighs or drumsticks in it for a couple of hours (or overnight in the fridge), then shake off some of the yoghurt and roll the chicken pieces in seasoned breadcrumbs. A little spray or drizzle of oil and 40 minutes or so in the oven and you have moist, juicy 'oven-fried chicken'If you lend someone £20 and never see them again, it was probably £20 well spent...0

Thank you so much for your wonderful ideas. I think I might go with one of the sweet ideas. This has given me some food for thought as I always seem to be wasting yohgurt.0
