advice on work pattern

Hi looking for advise currently work alternative weekends ie 1 on 1 off as contract is 30hrs 5 days over 7 company are trying to enforce we now work 3 weekends in a row and 1 off and if we dont we will be shown the door a lot of the staff have childcare and carer issues the ones without kids feel they are being bullied into accepting as they have been told by employer that they have no reason not to do new work pattern any advice would be greatful

If your contract just states 30hrs over 5 days in 7 then I'm guessing there isn't anything that can be done, so long as for those extra weekend days worked you only work 3 week days (assuming working on both weekend days). I.e. your contracted conditions aren't changed.

Trade union. Negotiate.

When people let their workplaces go union free, the consequences are that the employers pull stunts like this and get away with it.
