Help required for PPI refund whilst on an IVA

Hi, I'm posting on behalf of my friend who really needs some help she is 7 months into a 5 year IVA and has recently had a letter saying that she is entitled to a PPI refund for the money that she paid on a loan which were paid off before her IVA came into force. She was wondering what will happen with the IVA and whether she can keep the money as her car has just died???
