I have checked all forums but can't find anything - does anyone know sort code and ac/co for overpaying on your mortgage with santander - sorry if in wrong place - naturally i know you use your own mortgage ac/no as ref - many thanks

Hi there -if possible you are best to send them a cheque explaining that it is an overpayment and requesting that it is treated as a reduction in the term -if that is what you want.
If you just send it as an electronic payment they may just reduce your next standing order-or it may be lost in a big black hole-in my experience.
If you send a cheque ,they will normally confirm receipt and how it has been used-in writing.
