For those who recently received two vouchers with their Tesco receipt called £5 off a £40 shop, and £6 off a £40 shop, it appears that you CAN use both of these vouchers together toward one shopping bill, even though the small print at the bottom of the vouchers say only one per transaction.

The checkout girl scanned both of mine and I got my £44.10 shopping for £33.10!!! :j Of course it may depend which member of the checkout staff you get and whether they are prepared to scan them both.....

You gotta love a Friday night bonus! (although Im still keeping my fingers crossed for a Euromillions win!) :rotfl:

Have a great evening everyone, and enjoy the Olympics ceremony!

We did a big shop today; I used the £60/£9 one when I'd run up £62-worth of spend, paid, and then used the £40/£5 on the remaining shop. Added to that was the 6 bottles of Three for £12 wine, which then earned an extra 25% discount, it all went very well!! I won't be shopping for a couple of weeks, as we're pretty well stocked up now!

Did it at the self checkout. I think the "one per transaction" means one of each type of voucher.

I went in with 2 x £5 off £40 vouchers and the young girl on the till was fantastic, she scanned until I reached the first £40 then a £5 off £35 came out with that receipt and when I put through the next £40 she told me to give her both vouchers and put them both through for me - £15 off £80 :j

PS spent the second £40 on Prosecco and Guiness:beer:

Oops!!!! now THAT would be a proper bargain!!! lol
  • I tried 2 on the self serve and it wouldn't let me :(. Said that the amount needed for the offer hadn't been spent or something. I guess if I'd have spent £80 it would have worked.

I must admit I did wonder as the lady scanned both of them through whether it was discretionary - seems it could be after all! Although saying that, Zerog mentioned in an earlier post that it did work for them at the self checkout.

Sorry it didn't work for you :(
