Clothing?

Do you have loads of clothing? O just enough bits to get by?

Do you tend to buy from CS? New, cheaply? Or expensively?

Do you treat your clothes as throw-away. Or buy quality to last?

I don't buy from cs. But then most things I buy online! I've bought the occasional item from eBay but most of it is new as I don't want to take the quality chance with most pre worn stuff (online when you can't check before purchasing)

I buy fairly cheaply, wait for sales and offers etc. but some things do last for tens of years!

I'm supposed to be losing weight (and clearing my clutter/hoarding tendencies) and was just wondering whether, when I get to an acceptable weight it would be better buying quality over quantity?

I definitely fall into the loads of clothing camp! I tend to buy things mostly from charity shops/ebay, but I buy trousers from the high street, along with stuff that's hard to find in charity shops - coats, etc. I actually want to have a wardrobe that has hardly anything in, with quality mix and match basics, but I think I'm going to have to give up on that dream! Although I am slowly selling lots of it on ebay, so it could still happen. One day. I think my boyfriend would be ecstatic if I could pull it off :D

I was brought up to buy little but quality. Most of my clothes are classic and I have had them for over 10 years.

However, I have just lost a LOT of weight and nothing fits. (Not intentional I assure you!) It will be cs for me until I see how much I put back.

I've lost weight too (deliberately in my case:)). While I was between sizes I tried the CS partly for the sizes and partly to experiment with bright colours. I've got some great clothes that way but you do need time for browsing.

I know it wasn't what you asked but if you prefer cheap and cheerful then you're better off going direct to Matalan, Primark, Asda or Sainsbury's. Many CSs charge silly money for these brands. They inreasingly charge silly prices for quality brands too but at least they often have loads of wear left in them and are a good reduction on original price.

I've been disappointed with cs finds so don't buy there anymore. Also they always seem to have cheap labels nowadays like Primark or H&M - often at the same price or higher than the store (Oxfam is a real rip-off) but that might be because i'm in London.
I buy at Primark and Dorothy Perkins mainly, but always get M&S knickers!

I buy anywhere I see something I like! I have lots of clothes (but have had many of them for a long time) but generally buy decent quality stuff. That includes supermarket & cheaper brands as you can find some hidden gems, I just ensure the individual items I choose are well made as quality varies so much.

I don't buy trousers on ebay as I need to be able to try them on to see if they fit (being tall many trousers are too short) but I'm more willing to take a chance on tops.

That said with postage being higher these days I much prefer to buy clothes in person so I have the chance to try them on or return them and very occasionally I'll buy online from places with free returns.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
