job interview/credit check!

I've managed to get myself a job interview at the end of next week. So happy to just have a tiny bit of hope! Had a good few interviews over the last few months and been shot down in flames!

I'm recovering from a pretty bad gambling addiction, go GA meetings and my family look after my debit card.

I went bankrupt 2 years ago so my credit rating is ZERO! I had a great credit rating up until roughly 3 years ago but not that that means anything now....

The job I've got an interview for is in an administration role, involving supplier/customers/partners etc. It isn't a company involved in the financial sector. What are the chances they'll do a credit check on me?

So depressed these last few years, just need 1 bit of luck to wipe out all my misery!

If it isn't financial/accounting/insurance related, I doubt they'd check your credit rating.

Well done on dealing with your addiction, and best of luck for your interview.
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

I would doubt a credit check would happen also.

Good luck for the interveiw and fingers crossed.

It would be nice to know if you get the job.

Thank you both, these days I almost apply for roles as more as something to do rather than any expectation to even get an interview, let alone a job. Guess there's millions in the same boat.

Don't be too downhearted, my Grandson (22) just applied for a job at a posh hotel in Harrogate, his first application sinc coming up here from down south, no hotel experience at all, they gave him a days trial as a breakfast chef and he started 2 days later.
One day it will happen, I promise.
