Comping on Facebook without annoying friends?

Hiya
Sorry, I didn't know the best place to post this.
I've been entering lots of facebook comps recently, and have managed to change some of my settings to stop every "like" showing up on my friends newsfeeds.
I can't seem to stop everything though and if I comment on a page it always shows up. A friend text me this morning to say "blimey, you are going to win everything on facebook at this rate"!!
Does anyone have any tips on how to hide activity from friends? and also to stop pages posting on your newsfeed once you "like" them?
I would be grateful for any feedback.

Some people have an account just for comping but you need to be aware that this is against facebook rules and you stand to have both accounts deleted if they ever catch up with you.
Loquax recommend using facebook lists so you can filter the info friends and family see posted - not tried it myself so I have no idea how it works in practice, but there's some guidance here.

Hi! I'm always wary of that with facebook. If it's an competition that requires you to give permission to an app, I've noticed there's a little padlock down in the corner of the pop up box that if you click on brings down a box that says who can see the posts the app makes for you - I always set this to only me, so then if it does post it won't show up for anyone else
Hope that helps (and makes sense!) 0 -
I have a separate FB account purely for comps. My friends on that are all compers from here. I run the risk of getting them both closed down but for me it would not be the end of the world. They have differant e-mail addresses and the names are ever so slightly differant. Everything else dob, address etc are exactly the same although I can't remember all you give to set up an account but my personal one has VERY little! and is completetly closed to friends only.0

Don't forget that shares have to be set to Public or the Company whose page you are sharing can't see it to check that you have done it.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

does that happen every time you share a page anyway or do you need to set that yourself? I think my profile is only for friends. I have a terrible feeling now, but I can soon sort it for future comps.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
