Herman issues :(

Morning everyone!

I'm needing a bit of advice please on a Herman friendship cake that I was given. I'm on the last day today, but have discovered I may have done something quite wrong with it. :o

The instructions said to add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of flour at intervals. I'm not very up on that, but did notice it said 1 cup = 250ml. I weighed out 250ml of sugar and flour on my scales instead of measuring 250ml in a cup and using the same cup throughout as some notes at the side suggested, not realising it might cause problems.

Now I'm onto the bit where I have to split the mix and add more ingredients to bake the cake. It asks for a cup of of oil..I'm a little concerned that I've been measuring weight rather than volume, and so when I add the ingredients by weight (rather than having used the same cup throughout and going by volume), I'll mess it up altogether.

I've not been sleeping much and so despite thinking hard I can't see how to fix it. :( Sorry it it appears a stupid question, I am aware that I may be completely wrong and I have actually got it right! :rotfl: I just can't think at all.

Can anyone with a logical mind help, please?

Thanks so much in advance. How ironic that I have social anxieties and I'm cocking up my 2nd Herman! :(
