Afternoon
we are in need of a small loan about£1000 to £1500 at very most, we are home owners(mortgaged) we need the extra cash to tie us over as my partner has started a new job but will not get paid til 28/04/07 in the mean time we have a few things to pay like nursery fees £370 Tax credits still have not decided how much we will be entilted to so we are having to pay it all for the time. Also i sold a an old car of ours it did not have an mot he offered me £300 so accepted but had a call today saying he no longer wants it because the car needs about £400 worth of work to get it through the mot.
Well now he is saying the engine has siezed. What ever that means?. so i now have to give him his £300 back that that has gone towards other bills.
I do have 1 ccj that i had to pay off before i could get the mortgage so that was paid about 10 months ago.
any advice very welcome

Two words, tough !!!!, call them and remind them "buyer beware or Caveat emptor" applies to their purchase. They offered you £300, you accepted the offer, at the time of handing over the cash they should have checked the vehicle. You do not need to pay this money back to the buyer.

for that amount of loan try either the bank for an overdraft or better still try family and friends. say 5 peeps at 200/300 quid each?
and for gods sake pay them back PDQ.

tell the car buyer to go and see his legal advisor.
    Get some gorm.
