Work programme?

My nephew has applied direct to a company who participates in this work program, he has been accepted and has been told that there is a very strong chance that he will get a job at the end of it. Now today he has signed on and informed his advisor that this company has asked him to start on Monday, the advisor responded by informing him that they've already set in up to start with another company, but this company will not be taking people on once he has completed this. Any advice on how to approach this to ensure that he gets excepted on to the companies course where his chance of a job increases once completed.

Are you really that naive to think that the work programme can get anyone a job?? He has about as much chance as anyone else, he has to get the job himself no one will get a job for him!

Did i say he had a cast iron guarantee that he would get a job? No. I think my words were he "had a strong chance". Read the post before commenting.

sorry no one has any chance of getting any job after attending the work prgramme from what I have read on here on the mega long WP thread. They are not there to get jobs for people as they have no power. The work programme is TWO years long!

I heard the work programme forces people into jobs they dont want to do or not used to cleaning, retail, manual labour is that true or do they offer it as a choice?

something doesnt add up here because you cant approach a provider directly to get on the work programme with them. the jobcentre has to refer you. so if you wanted to go on the work programme you would need to ask the jobcentre to refer you.
